In a lidded plastic bucket, mix:

3 cups of warm water

1-1/2 tbsp yeast

1-1/2 tbsp sugar

1-1/2 tbsp salt

6-1/2 cups of flour

Stir until a wet dough forms.

Cover and let rise for 2 hours.

Cover a cookie sheet with corn meal and a little flour to prevent sticking.

Divide bread into three portions, each about the size of a grapefruit.

Smooth into three loaves.

Place on cookie sheet and let rise about 10 minutes.

While in the final rise, preheat oven to 450 degrees F.

Place a metal pan of water on the bottom shelf of the oven.

Place the cookie sheet on the top shelf.

Bake for about 15 minutes.

Let cool for about 10 minutes and serve.

Freeze the unused baked loaves.
