I am totally in agreement with you on this one! The British version did have reference to the 29k who die each day through poverty etc, but ‘bigged up’ the traditional right wing concerns (which I’m not opposed to- just when they get bigger than poverty etc), so I didn’t sign. There was an excellent defending of the non signers point of view on my friend Dyfed’s blog a while back.

You will notice that the only two segments of the bar that are larger than US oil production are “Middle East/Gulf” and “Other Countries”. According to the New York Times and other sources related to this article, the US was the one country (as opposed to groups of countries) that produced the most oil.

Where did you get this statistic from.

me? i don’t believe in luck. its because i believe in God and it states in the bible that all things that happen are made only by God. i also believe that what makes people “lucky” are their upbringing… its their own actions that make them blessed and its not about their lucky charms, their believing in superstitions, etc…
